Help for victims of the Boston Marathon bombing


The One Fund Boston, Inc. has been organized as a private foundation to assist those affected by the Boston Marathon tragedy of April 15, 2013 or other attacks which may occur in the United States in the future.


Governor Deval Patrick and Boston Mayor Menino announced the establishment of the fund with a cornerstone donation of $1 million from John Hancock, and commitments from a host of other individuals and corporations. Articles of organization under Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 180, have been filed with the Secretary of the Commonwealth by the law firm Goodwin Procter. They will also be filing for Chapter 501(c)(3) status under the Internal Revenue Code retroactive to the formation of the corporation.
