Today is the First Day the National Health Insurance Marketplace is open

Did you know that today is the first day the Health Insurance Marketplace's Open Enrollment site is available? Massachusetts residents can continue to use the Health Connector.

What if you have friends or relatives residing in other States? Do they know where to find their state's enrollment site?

Have you read the current laws in Massachusetts about health insurance?

This link will get you to the government's site on "How will the Affordable Care Act affect me?"

And don't forget about the tax implications of the Affordable Care Act - here's the link to the IRS' website which talks about this as well.

In a Friday, September 27, 2013 Wall St. Journal article, it noted "The Obama administration acknowledged for the first time Thursday that a technological problem is forcing it to delay part of the rollout of the new health-care law, saying insurance exchanges won't be ready to accept online applications from small businesses when the program launches [on] Tuesday."

The small-business exchanges will be open to businesses with 50 or fewer workers the first year.
