Judges Reflect on Life & the Law

How do judges approach their work and the law? Judge William A. Young has penned Reflections of a Trial Judge, Justice Antonin Scalia co-authored Making Your Case: The Art of Persuading Judges and among the many books, tapes and CDs of Irving Younger available in our Trial Court Law Library system is The Irving Younger Collection: Wit and Wisdom from the Master of Trial Advocacy. American Judicature Society’s Handbook for Judges: an Anthology of Inspirational and Educational Readings and Judges on Judging: Views from the Bench include the viewpoints of a number of trial and appellate judges on many parts of their job. In another vein, New Boy, written by Judge Julian Houston, is a novel which gives us a peek into life in an important era in our recent history. Good reading!
