Massachusetts Uniform Commercial Code Amended

Articles 1, 7, and 9 of the Massachusetts Uniform Commercial Code (chapter 106 Massachusetts General Laws) have been substantially amended.  The Massachusetts legislature passed chapter 30 of the Acts of 2013 as an emergency law which took effect on July 1, 2013.  The new law amended the general provisions of the Uniform Commercial Code as well as documents of title and secured transactions sections.
