We all hear stories of how loyal dogs are to their humans. It turns out, to the surprise of only the most unobservant, that humans are just as loyal. In times of disaster, people will refuse to evacuate and leave their pets behind.
A recent article in the Melrose Free Press, "Senators cite public safety reasons for passing pet evacuation bill," discusses a bill recently passed by the Massachusetts Senate, "An Act ensuring the safety of people with pets in disasters."
